New Tax Refund Schedule

The new tax refund schedule is listed online for a ballpark idea of when to expect your refund. There is, however, a way to get an accurate date so you’ll know for sure.

You may be thinking about that new furniture you’re going to buy or perhaps you’re going to lower your credit card debt. The IRS has a “Where’s My Refund?” tool you can use to track the progress of your refund.

Once the IRS acknowledges receipt of your e-filed return, you can usually get information within 72 hours or three to four weeks after sending in a paper return.

Information you will need from your tax return:

•Your Social Security Number (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)
•Your Filing Status
•The Exact Whole Dollar Amount of your Refund
With this information you can find out when to expect your tax refund. Unfortunately, As most of us know, life is not always simple. Refund checks can be lost, stolen, or destroyed. If this has happened to you, you can generally be sent a replacement check if it has been at least 28 days after your check was sent. You will have to file a claim to start the process of having a refund re-issued.
